This year 2008, the theme was “Urban Jungle”. Of course, politics has something to do with it. Every day politicians have to struggle for life and fight for their right to be unusefully rich and selfish and nasty…

So we decided to offer them an artistic tribune, to make ignorant people of the streets understand how crual and difficult life can be in places like FMI or OMS. The workshop took place in the studios of “le 100 rue de Charenton”. Poor politicians…We were so good at it! I used collected foam from old mattresses and wood, to build two big bodies, and the two faces were covered with latex to get the skin-aspect. And also a lot of red painting to make the blood effects! The very talented costum-designerAlekseï Batoussov, created two terribly smart costums, and every good wills worked for days to make the whole decoration around. Small buildings models were created, with lights, all around the two politicians, so they look like giants crushing the city!
You can also notice the crazy cow on the top of the char. It was just a tribute to all the crazy cows of the world. Carnival is a very special time for them…
